Lightweight application that stays out of the way until you really need it. I use it to allot certain time for tasks, move on when the time’s up, and keep me on track. Thanks to the dev for making it free. Great job.

Hey programmer, came on! - Please add the ability to loop sequences of intervals. Great that you use a sound notiification rather than a pop-up window, but: - Please consider to make the message to be persistent (not to be confused with the mostly ignored iTunes music change notification). - Please consider a way for us to listen the sound to play prior to select it, and to set the volume of the notification. Hope to hear from you in this. Best Regards
Parou de funcionar no mavericks, Quando inicio o programa ele congela. Stop Working in Mavericks, when I start the program, it freezes.
I use it to track my daily tasks and it reminds me in a friendly way...
It would be nice - to be able to reset the counter (#) of each activity. - to have also a "time recording“-option (f.e. If you want to track your working/billing hours) - to have an option which „mute“ automatically all notifications and signals (email, iMessages, skype calls,…) while the timer is running, in case someone forget or can’t switch off everything all the time. - groups for more organization.
Love this app! It’s does exactly what it says, it’s really small and does not take up a lot of memory! Well done! A bonus would have been having keyboard shortcut. I would have paid a $1 for that. Anyways, thanks!
This is one of the only few apps I have running in my menu bar. It helps me keep track of my how long I’ve been doing an activity. I love it. Thank you!
Current features are great, however it still takes too many steps to change the timer duration from short to long (and doing this every 25/5 minutes is pretty tedious). Update and will give 5 stars!
Not bad. Here are some suggestions for improvements: -option to set the break time and then auto-repeat timer. -have the preset intervals in the first menu, not in a submenu. -Option for custom global hotkeys for pause, reset and present intervals. -Use of custom sound, like an mp3 file, to play when time is up. -option to have the sound repeat multiple times when time is up like Tadam. -“discipline mode” or something where you can’t adjust the time even if you wanted to until the timer runs out or you quit the app or at last make it take a lot of steps so it’s more annoying to change it in this mode. I guess. -adjust size of custom message that displays when time is up and option to have to show on the screen until the timer starts again to prevent you from working during your break. -There’s a bug where adding a preset interval adds it in the middle of the others in the list. Thanks.
Was the greatest menubar app ever. Now it blows, Can’t even change the time.
Activity Timer used to be a tiny menubar app – click icon, select duration in the dropdown menu, done. Now it’s taking half my screen with an inefficient fancypants UI. I’ve chosen this app specifically because it was so minimal. That was its only differentiator. It’s anything but minimal now. And for what? The features seem to be exact the same, just wrapped in a poor UI. Time to look elsewhere.
I launched the app and didn’t notice the icon it put in the toolbar, so I thought it hadn’t launched. Seems to work fine so far.
So I was looking around, hopeing to find a simple timer app and voila!!! I found the right timer app. Its a great everyday app that has pretty much no bugs. Over all, great to use and clean.
I just wanted a simple timer. This is that.
I just wanted a nice and simple countdown timer and this was (almost) perfect. I think it would be nice to have the notice window stay on the screen until the user manually removes it. Currently, the notice pops up but dissappears after a few seconds. If I leave the computer and come back, I might not realize that the timer was finished counting down.
Easy and comfortable. Thanks!!! The best for me!
Thank you!
Thank you very much.
In Mac OS Mavericks Activity Timers main screen is black, there is no any options to change. So, I can’t set alarm time. Past versions of the app was fine.
Very useful for me. It is not really an app, instead it shows only on the upper column which is easy to check how many mins I have used.
